Karola Mueller
Living Myth - The transformative Power of Archetypes
“Myth is an attempt to narrate a whole human experience, of which the purpose is too deep, going too deep in the blood and soul, for mental explanation or description”
So D.H. Lawrence described the importance of myth. Like him, I reclaim myth as a way of relating to our individual and collective story.
I am a Germany-born writer, editor and journalist who moved to the UK in 2009. After 3 years of travelling in Europe, Africa and India, I became a story finder who gathers threads and fragments and weaves them together into a tapestry of meaning. I wanted to bring all I had encountered into one piece of art, the common ground for all those different places and truths. So I wrote a book of mythical stories: The Firekeeper’s Daughter – Tales of Initiation. In the process, finding the mythical characters and archetypal narratives in my life became a non-dogmatic spiritual practise.
Treasuring our own stories and looking at them as archetypal initiations means tending the flame of our imagination, passion, faith and hopes. In the stories of old, our own story gains new meaning and unfolds alongside an ancient knowledge of the human soul.

Mark Townsend
Soulful Magic
Mark Townsend is a wonderful combination of ex-Vicar, Magician and Spiritual Writer. He uses storytelling and illusion to awaken people to wonder and enchantment, and has a special ability to gently enable his audiences to unwind, relax and take in the beauty of the present moment. He has performed everywhere from Gothic Cathedrals to the African Savanna, and to such diverse audiences as Catholic Nuns and Massai Warriors. In his talk he will discuss his journey and transition from Church of England Priest to full time Soulful Magician. He will also perform a few of his trade mark illusions of the mind. In Uri Geller’s words Mark is ‘amazing and inspirational.’ Prepare to be enchanted and enriched.

Peter Knight
Prehistoric Astronomy of Dorset
Peter, DEMG co-founder, gives a powerpoint presentation based on his extensive knowledge of various sacred sites in Dorset. Peter's illustrated presentation will cover such sites as Knowlton, the Nine Stones, Grey Mare and Her Colts and the Cerne Giant, showing that our distant ancestors in Dorset were accomplished ancestors, and that we can see 'action replays' of what they were observing today.

Sig Lonegren
Basic Dowsing
If you are in to the Earth Mysteries, dowsing can be one essential tool for learning how to experience them. Sig will be leading an evening of basic dowsing concentrating on the pendulum and on L rods. If you have these tools, please bring them, if not, any small weight (like a ring) on a string/thread will make a fine pendulum. Two all-wire coat hangers will make fine L rods. He will cover his tuning in method for the pendulum to get "yes" or "no" answers to questions, and will teach you how to use your L rods/coat hangers to find the Earth energies that are in the Stapehill Village Hall.
Sig was taught how to dowse by his mother over fifty years ago. He is a past Trustee of both the American and British Society of Dowsers, and has written a number of books on dowsing, one of which (The Pendulum Kit) has sold over a-million-and-a-half copies in fifteen languages. As a professional Geomancer (a diviner of the Earth), he teaches Earth Mystery related subjects both in Europe and in the United States, and lives in Glastonbury with his wife Karin, who is a well-known healer.

October 4th
Gary Biltcliffe
The Spine of Albion
Gary is a great friend of the group and a popular speaker. After reading the book "The Sun and the Serpent" by dowser Hamish Miller and researcher and writer Paul Broadhurst, he was inspired to walk and dowse the St Michael alignment, the longest East-West alignment in the country from Lands End in Cornwall to the Norfolk coast. During this pilgrimage, he had a strong sense that there must be an equivalent North-South line. Later that week he visited Glastonbury, and by chance, picked up a book in one of the second-hand bookshops called "Brigantia a Mysteriography“ by Guy Ragland Phillips published in 1976. As he opened the book, he saw an outline plan of Britain showing the Belinus Line. The first thing that impressed him about the line was its projection. It forms the longest land route through Britain in a North-South direction avoiding the sea.

John Gordon
The Sacred Culture of Ancient Egypt
Change of Speaker
Robert Bauval’s archaeo-astronomical association of the Giza pyramids is by now well known. What is not so well understood, however, is the way in which the cyclic astronomical process works, thereby causing the periodic rotation of Orion’s Belt and the association of the Great Pyramid with the Circumpolar Stars and the Great Sidereal Year. The talk will be supported by a Powerpoint graphic presentation. Parts of the material to be discussed in this talk will be found in John Gordon’s new book on ancient Egyptian culture, to be published by Inner Traditions in 2014. His existing book, introducing the subject of how Egypt came to exist geologically and geographically in the first place and otherwise showing the graphically detailed archaeo-astronomical-cum-geometrical architecture of the Great Pyramid, is called “Egypt Child of Atlantis'”. This is due to be re-published by Inner Traditions in late 2013 under the new title “Land of the Fallen Star Gods”.
